When I first started to read this book, I do have to admit that it took me awhile to connect to the story and characters.
As I was reading, I was getting distracted, couldn’t focus, was getting lost, etc. Around Chapter 10, however, is when I started to fall in love with this book.I don’t know if it was the fact that there were different POV’s in the story that I needed to get used to or if I was just busy with other things on my mind that prevented me from falling in love with this story from the beginning. But don’t let that any of the above fool you.
I love the fact that the story is very original, at least to me. I haven’t really read many books taking place in outer space/different planets before, so I really found it to be a creative aspect. I love the way that the planet they are on works and that there is a mystery about it that they are trying to figure out. I also love the two main Characters, Tarver and Lilac, and the way that they interact with one another. I love the story between them and how each character has more to them then you think.
Towards the end of the book, I was on an emotional roller coaster. There were parts where I was sad and an emotional wreck to having a bit of anticipation of what would happen next. There were also many times where I experienced both of those at the same time. I also had an “I knew it” moment in the book, but I didn’t know HOW the “it” would happen, so there was definitely a bit of shock and twist to it. (Hopefully, that makes sense).
That being said I really recommend this book to anyone, especially those who enjoy these types of novels. I also want to add that I’m looking forward to reading the next novels in this series as well.
Happy Reading! 🙂
